  • School-gen Trust offers free STEM/Solar equipment

The Genesis School-gen Trust application round is now open to New Zealand schools to receive free STEM and Solar equipment packages.

Kiwi kids need to be critical thinkers and innovators to meet the social, environmental and economic challenges of the future. To learn these skills, they need the right equipment and resources at school. Thanks to Genesis and its customers who donate to the Trust by way of a bill top-up, the Trust is able to support schools by providing equipment packages to help students grow their understanding and interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). They also offer a solar package to enable schools to expose their students to learning around energy efficiency and renewable energy.

The Trust was established in January 2019 and is a registered charity governed by a Board of Trustees. Every dollar customers donate goes to schools thanks to Genesis who cover all infrastructure, accounting and administration costs.

Schools can apply for an equipment package via the Trust website here.
