School-gen Trust announces successful schools
Thanks to generous donations from Genesis customers and support from Genesis, the Trust is delighted to announce that $200,000 of STEM and solar equipment will be distributed to successful schools.
The Trust invited schools all over NZ to apply for science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and solar equipment and received applications from schools as far-a-field as Northland and all the way down to Bluff. This equipment helps support schools with student learning and engagement in critical STEM subjects and renewable energy.
Schools were able to select equipment packages to match their learning needs, ranging from – Coding & Robotics, Science & Engineering, 3D Design, Cutters and Printers, LEGO Education, Chromebooks and iPads. The solar package includes a solar array, installation, monitoring devices and connection to the School-gen Solar programme – providing students with daily data on how much electricity the solar panels will generate and access to other renewable energy resources.
