West Rolleston - 20 kW

2016 was an amazing first year at West Rolleston Primary. We learned so much about solar energy and our schoolgen lead team did a brilliant job making sure all of our learners (and teachers) were aware of how they could save energy around the school. The Schoolgen programme aligns perfectly with our school values and our vision 'to grow as healthy, happy learners', and it became a big part of our school with it being a part of our weekly timetable. Our learners designed and made some awesome solar powered automobile models as well as an energy efficient playground model

Our lead team was constantly brainstorming possibilities, and made posters, film clips, models and announced energy saving tips over our school PA system.

We are really looking forward to 2017 and our year 5-8 learners becoming a part of our schoolgen lead team and bringing all of their ideas to life.
