Takapuna Normal Intermediate School is located in the heart of the North Shore of Auckland and sees itself as an innovative school with a knowledge-era approach to learning.

We are Auckland’s first Intermediate school to participate with the Schoolgen programme.  As well as this we are a Travelwise- and Enviro-school.

Takapuna Normal Intermediate School has a vision for our young people to be confident, connected, actively involved lifelong learners.

Action is an integral part of students’ learning at Takapuna Normal Intermediate School.  The students will be driving the recording of data, the changes in behaviour and the feedback about our savings and goals reached. 

Money saved from this first array of solar panels ('Takapuna A') was put toward a second larger 'Takapuna B' array with the help of Genesis Energy.
