St Anthony's, Seatoun - 4 kW
St Anthony’s Primary School (Seatoun) is a small school situated in the Eastern suburbs of Wellington catering for students in years 1-8. We are only a small school but we are known for our ‘can do’ attitude and our strong spirit.
Our commitment to lessening our carbon footprint can be seen in many ways:
All classes have facilities in the classroom for the recycling of paper and food scraps. These food scraps are deposited in the worm farm bin.
We have a committed Enviro Group that is responsible for the correct disposal of the waste in the classroom.
We are lucky enough to have a well-kept garden, which has provided us with some very tasty produce so far. Even the celery was a great hit.
Members of staff are always on the lookout for lights that have been left on unnecessarily.
