Plateau Primary School - Upper Hutt - 2 kW

We are a primary school, situated in a semi-rural location north of Upper Hutt, surrounded by bush and houses. We are heavily involved in the Enviroschools' programme and have recently received a Silver Award.

We actively search for ways to support sustainability and the Genesis Energy schoolgen programme fits perfectly with our desire to preserve existing resources. We are extremely excited about having the solar panels installed to provide energy, as well as to give our students the opportunity to learn about renewable energy. We are keen that the knowledge and understanding gained from this programme will be shared with the wider community.

We are very proud of our environmental efforts in reducing, reusing, recycling, gardening and encouraging nature back into our playground. Now we can add 'Renewable Energy' to the list, thanks to Genesis Energy.
