Clyde Quay School - Wellington City - 4 kW

Our school is on the Capital’s doorstep. We are a full primary with a roll of approximately 240 students. Most of the whanau live on Mt Victoria. Clyde Quay School (CQS) is multicultural in nature so enjoys families from diverse backgrounds. It reflects the wider world and we strive to Create Thinkers & Celebrate Diversity.

At CQS we are passionate about providing educational opportunities that encourage our students to strive for a more environmentally sustainable way of life.

We became a Schoolgen School in May 2014. We held a big launch to celebrate the installation of our 4kW solar panel array. Thanks to the partnership we have with Genesis Energy and Wellington City Council, we now produce a portion of our own electricity.

With an on-going focus on sustainability, we aim to foster our students’ creativity so that they can flourish in an interconnected world. Being a Schoolgen School and an Enviro-School will help us to achieve this.
