Students at Raglan Area school receive information from Elemental Energy staff on the solar panels
To further the learning of students and teachers whilst the solar panels were being installed staff from either Elemental Energy (www.elementalenergy.co.nz) or Aurecon (www.aurecongroup.com) assisted Genesis Energy in providing classroom learning sessions on the photovoltaic panels.
Schools found these sessions are very beneficial to students as the information was presented by "real people in real jobs". Students very often got to see and touch the solar panels before they were installed on the roof and ask the installers questions about the solar panels and how electricity is generated and used.
Both Aurecon and Elemental Energy volunteered their time to provide these learning sessions to the schools.
