Schoolgen Assembly
Schools that are selected for the solar panels take part in specially choreographed assemblies once their solar panels have been installed to introduce students and their school communities to the programme. Maggie, our Environmental Educator, works with students from the school who present a performance about electricity, solar energy and solar panels to their peers and teachers. The assemblies bring Schoolgen to life for all the students in the school and utilise the acting and dancing talents of the students.
After the performance, students take part in classroom sessions where they learn what a solar panel looks like, how they work and where at their school they are being installed.
