Paraparaumu College
Paraparaumu College is a co-educational state secondary school of 1420 students located on the Kapiti Coast 50km north of Wellington city. We are excited to be part of the “Genesis Energy Schoolgen programme” because our students are able to learn first hand how sustainable renewable forms of electricity generation benefits consumers.
The solar panels have been installed on the roof of the senior chemistry laboratory. Students will be able to use the Schoolgen website for research and as a way of building skills and knowledge on sustainable electricity generation. The Schoolgen project fits neatly with other school environmental and recycling initiatives.
