Northcote College
Northcote College is a co-educational secondary school on Auckland's North Shore.
With 12 photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of the school hall on the 1 and 2nd March 2007 Northcote College became the first school to be assisted through Schoolgen in 2007.
Northcote College has an active Envirogroup, Cocoon that takes direct action to improve the environment and raise awareness of environmental issues.
"As a Schoolgen and Enviroschool school we are working together to make our school environment a better place and equip students and staff with the skills and knowledge to create a sustainable future', said Anna Mrkusic, a teacher in the Envirogroup. "Schoolgen and its focus on issues such as climate change and energy efficiency will be a welcome addition to the school's commitment to sustainability."
