Schoolgen Schools

Mount Biggs School was established in 1921. It is situated at the junction of two roads and is surrounded by farmland. It is approximately 7 kms west of Feilding.

The school is staffed by 3.8 teachers, 1 office administrator and 3 teacher's aides and has a stable role of approximately 70 pupils.

The school has a proud tradition and is the focal point of the Mount Biggs Community. Its facilities consist of 3 classrooms, a library and multi teaching space, tennis court, solar heated swimming pool, large hall and large playing fields which include a native area, hut building area, large trampoline, large sandpit and BMX track. Children are encouraged to take risks in their play and tree climbing is a favourite activity.

Mount Biggs School is part of the Enviroschools organisation and has obtained bronze and silver awards. We have a very active Green Group and a Garden Group who undertake environmental programmes around the school. We have recently planted 300 native trees which will form the basis of our outdoor learning area.

The Board of Trustees, Home and School Committee, parents and all community members work to support the school and can be very proud of the achievements of the pupils.
