Forest Lake Primary School

Forest Lake School is a central city primary school in Hamilton with 210 pupils. We have been an Enviroschool for many years with a focus on the natural environment and recycling. We are privileged to have a beautiful area of native bush which we have worked hard to nurture and develop through replanting and building a boardwalk. We recycle paper, food and plastics and glass.

We have a group of very keen Enviroagents who monitor our environment on a regular basis.

We were excited to be selected for Schoolgen as it allows us to have a clear focus on how our behaviours can impact on the environment and how we can do something about minimising that impact.

This term we have a school wide learning focus on reusable energy sources to kick start this journey for us.

We thank Genesis Energy for their support and we look forward to developing our partnership not only with them but also our local community.
