Participating Schools
New Schools
Welcome to the 9 schools from the Manawatu/Wanganui region who have joined the Schoolgen program. Solar panels have been installed on Aokautere School (Palmerston North), Awahou School (Palmerston North), Hokowhitu School (Palmerston North), Kimbolton School (Manawatu), Mount Biggs School (Fielding), Newbury School (Fielding), St Anthony's (Pahiatua), St John's Hill School (Wanganui) and Wanganui Intermediate School (Wanganui).
Current Schools
In 2007 Schoolgen assisted six schools in Auckland to have the 2kW photovoltaic system installed.
In 2008 three more schools in Auckland, seven in the Hamilton City area and five in the Greater Waikato were selected for the programme.
In 2009 Genesis Energy has assisted 9 schools in Greater Wellington, 3 in the Hawkes Bay, and 9 in the Manawatu/Wanganui region.
That brings the total number of schools to 42 that now have solar panels thanks to Schoolgen!
