Data Reports
The Schoolgen database is huge as it records data from the solar panels at the 42 Schoolgen schools every half an hour - and this data is recorded from when the panels were first installed.
The Schoolgen website allows students to access this data and create their own queries on how much electricity has been generated by the solar panels.
In order that students don't request a report that requires too much bandwidth for their school's Internet system, the following rules have been created:
- For reports 7 days or less data will be presented in 30 minute intervals;
- For reports 7 days to 2 months the data will be presented in day intervals;
- For reports 2 months to 18 months the data will be presented in month intervals;
- For reports past 18 months the data will be presented yearly.
The data will be raw data only, ie graphs will not be generated, and will be presented in 2 formats - comma delimited (CSV) and XML.
The reports will also show the kg CO2 emissions saved for the period of the report. The average solar radiation for that period will also be provided.
