Banks Avenue School - Christchurch - 2 kw

Banks Avenue School is a Year 0-6 school in the heart of Dallington in Christchurch. We are new in our journey along the road of establishing sustainable practices within our school. We have participated in the Paper For Trees project since 2008. We are currently working towards our Bronze Super Solar Award. We are developing a strong environmental awareness amongst our pupils to actively minimise our ecological footprint.

The Banks Avenue Curriculum document reflects this belief and our environmental values as an integral part of our learning. Schoolgen fits well with our belief in 'Inquiry' learning and the way we differentiate our learning programmes. It provides opportunities to support children's learning no matter what their stage. We have a unique opportunity as part of the renewal programme within Christchurch to be future focused in our thinking.
