Genesis is proud to get behind New Zealand’s favourite sailing team again and is looking forward to bringing some America’s Cup excitement to kiwi kids all around the country.

Genesis and Emirates Team New Zealand will work together to introduce new STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) resources and activities for schools in the lead-up to the Defence of the 36th America’s Cup. Members of Emirates Team New Zealand and the Genesis School-gen team will also tour selected schools with the America’s Cup to inspire future STEM leaders and innovators during 2020.

And a massive thanks to Arahoe School – in particular teacher Vanessa Jansz, principal Richard Limbrick and all of the amazing students who enthusiastically welcomed Ryan Thomas (mechatronics engineer) and Blair Tuke (sailor) from Emirates Team New Zealand, along with the School-gen team recently. We all had a fantastic time chatting to the kids about what they are learning, hearing from Blair and Ryan about how science helps the boat go faster, and seeing the Human Energy Generator get a real workout from both the students and the Emirates Team New Zealand crew!
